Des was born in Johannesburg. Educated at St. John's College and Wits. (BA English, Zulu, African Politics). Diploma in Lighting & Stage Design from Salzburg. The 60's was the time of Folk Songs and coffee bars when Des led the scene at the Troubadour in Doornfontein. Gold Discs: "Die Gezoem Van die Bye", "Seagull's Name was Nelson". Script and Lyric writer; Des specialises in writing corporate songs & scripts, Formerly Chairman of Theatre Managements of SA (TMSA). Formerly Vice-Chairman of the NGO PROMAT Colleges and Trust. Des likes cricket, fishing, and red wine.
Dawn was born in Durban. Educated at Parktown Girls High; AFS Scholar (Detroit, USA), BA (Fine Arts) Wits; Diploma Etching (Urbino, Italy), Stage Design (Salzburg). Double Gold: "Fat Off" fitness tape. Co-Author: "How Did I Begin?", on facts of life for kids. Directs and Designs all CAT Corporate and Stage Productions. Motivational Speaker "Every Night is an Opening Night", "Unfreeze Your Speaking Assets". She is Past President of Soroptimists International of the Highveld, Executive Director of the Naledi Theatre Awards and formerly Chairperson of Theatre Managements of South Africa. Des & Dawn have two sons, Joshua and Adam. Dawn likes Theatre, Art movies, elephants, cats, sushi and chardonnay.
